More than 50 million Americans suffer from various types of chronic pain, according to the American Pain Foundation. That’s a whole lot of pain, which leads to a whole lot of drug use.
OTC and prescribed pain killers may help reduce pain, but are simply dangerous in long-term use. They can cause permanent liver and kidney damage and increase risk of heart attack and stroke.
For those who have had a heart attack or stroke, the NSAID’s pose a real danger, even with a brief use. That’s a bad deal.
In my opinion, medicine should save lives, not take lives. It should promote healing, instead of promoting the Pharmaceutical companies’ pockets (by making you psychologically and physically dependant on these drugs for the rest of your life). Is it time to try natural pain relief?

Do Natural Pain Killers Work as Well as Drugs?
All conditions that cause chronic pain and inflammation, including osteoarthritis, back pain, fibromyalgia and anything else causing pain – Can be safely treated with scientifically proven natural pain relievers. They work just as effectively as drugs – sometimes better – and without dangerous side effects. A number of comparative studies between herbal remedies and pharmaceutical drugs have shown even better efficacy and safety with herbs.
The Top 3 (Proven) Natural Pain Relief Herbal Remedies
Turmeric Root
In toxicity studies, turmeric root and its extract were found to be as effective as NSAIDS, but show none of the side effects associated with them.
Turmeric is very popular in India’s 5,000-year-old system of Ayurvedic medicine. Science has investigated this natural pain relief herb and has discovered in it a powerful compound called curcumin. This yellow colored material demonstrates antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, anti-carcinogenic and antimicrobial activity, liver-protective, heart-protective and anti-arthritic benefits. Whole turmeric root and concentrated curcumin are also very safe. No studies in animals or humans have discovered any toxicity associated with the use of either, even at very high doses. (Source is here).
I recommend Curamin, a breakthrough curcumin-based supplement that literally can erase pain quickly and powerfully, without negative effects.
Ginger Root
Ginger root, another common spice, also contains a number of scientifically proven pain relieving components: an enzyme zingibain, which appears to relieve arthritis pain by reducing inflammation (it works just like aspirin) and the shaogals and gingerols – Powerful antioxidants. Even more, these compounds are potent anti-inflammatory agents, and are proven to relieve inflammation throughout the body.
I recommend New Chapter Zyflamend, the ginger and turmeric-based anti-inflammatory from New Chapter. Along with Curamin
, these simply work.
Devil’s Claw
Today the most popular use for Devil’s claw root is to relieve arthritis. It’s especially effective for painful joint disorders. The herb is approved by ESCOP for painful arthritis, tendonitis, loss of appetite and dyspepsia.
There are no known negative side effects or drug interactions associated with Devil’s claw. You can use it as a tea, just brew 4-5 grams of the root every day and drink it, or you can use capsules. Look for products containing extracts of Devil’s claw standardized to 2 – 3% iridoid glycosides. The recommended dosage is 200 – 2500 milligrams per day. I like Nature’s Way Devil’s Claw Capsules.

This happens for about 10 seconds then I just go to another dream or whatever and forget about it. Idk what it could be im 17 healthy, with anxiety/OCD. It might be anxiety but this has been happening a lot so IDK. a reply would be much appreciated!!!:)
Thanks Elizabeth and I agree, always check with you doctor if you are taking any kind of medication to avoid counter interactions.
It depends on the anount of pollen in the air. Your home town probably has more pollen in the air compared to where you are living now.
My best friend and I suffered from allergies when we used to live back in our country. Ever since we moved to the US, the allergies kind of went away magically. Is there a reason for that?
I do not doubt the efficacy of these medicines I do have a problem in that most people are using drugs and some for life-saving conditions. How will these interact with some of the medical drugs? Professional ethics do not permit me to remove anyone from such drugs be it medical or homeopathic or naturopathic whilst under someone else’s treatment. We cannot expect patients to know the possible effects of such interaction whilst on medication for life-saving conditions. So, what do you advise such patients? I usually confer with their GP, Homeopathy, etc and together we decide on the best way forward. I have some objections, but in most cases, I have had very favorable responses with excellent results for the patient. Elizabeth
